BAINBRIDGE –The Bainbridge-Guilford Lady Bobcats have won themselves yet another tournament. After winning the Pat Grasso Tournament a few weeks ago, they struck luck in their own Kazalski Tournament. They defeated Harpursville in a close 48-45 battle.
The Bobcats started out hot with 28 points in the first half, taking the 28-20 lead at halftime. B-G struggled in the third quarter with being held to five points. This allowed Harpursville to fire up with 12 points on offense.
Both teams knew this game would come down to the final eight minutes of play where B-G’s 15-13 advantage led them to victory. They also had a lot of help from Celeste Baldwin, who won the Tournament MVP award. She finished with a stellar 21 points and knocked down four three’s in the contest.
Johnna Henderson made the all-tournament team with 13 points and 26 points combined in the two games.
B-G will be at Sidney on Wednesday, January 4 at 7 p.m.
