New Berlin Library lowers late fees and other charges

The New Berlin Library is lowering its late fees for books and DVDs beginning in January.

NEW BERLIN – The New Berlin Library is making several changes that will take effect beginning in January 2023.
These changes will effect late fees, fax charges, and computer print charges.

The New Berlin Library is lowering its late fees for books and DVDs beginning in January.   Late fee charges on books is being reduced from 25¢ per day to 10¢ per day.
DVD late fees are being reduced from $1 per day to 25¢ per day.
This change will take effect on all overdue fees incurred starting in January 2023.

There will also be a reduction in the faxing fees. Previously it was $1.50 for the first page and 50¢ each additional page.   The library will now be going to a flat rate of $2.00 per fax number with no charge for faxes sent to toll free numbers.

The final change is an increase in the amount charged for computer print pages.
It was 10¢ per page.   Due to the increase in the cost of printer paper and toner the library has to increase this charge.   Beginning in January 2023 the cost of computer prints will increase to 25¢ per page.

The library will be closed Saturday December 31st, and Monday January 2nd to celebrate the New Year.

The New Berlin Library After School Science Program with 4-H/CCE takes place from 3:30-4:30 on   the third Wednesday of every month during the school year in the New Berlin Library Community Room. The next scheduled program is January 17.

Some great new additions to the library include: A Dangerous Business by Jane Smiley, The McCartney Legacy Volume 1, 1969-1973 by Allan Kozinn and Adrian Sinclair, The Whittiers by Danielle Steel, and I Don't Care by Molly Idle and Juana Martinez- Neal.
