NORWICH — The Chenango Arts Council (CAC) and the Chenango County Historical Society (CCHS) are delighted to announce a collaborative workshop with renowned children’s author and illustrator Suzanne Bloom in celebration of local artist Alice Hudson (1922-2013).

On January 10, registered participants can visit the Community Gallery at CCHS from 4 to 6 p.m. for an exclusive showing of the “Alice’s Wonderlands: The Art of Alice Hudson” exhibit. Taking inspiration from the exhibition, Bloom will then provide instruction and supplies to create whimsical miniature sculptures from 6 to 8 p.m.

For members of either the CAC or CCHS, registration for this program is $5. Registration is free to members of both organizations. General, non-member admission is $10. Participants are asked to pre-register no later than noon on January 10 by visiting ChenangoArts.org/workshops.

Both the exhibit showing and the hands-on workshop will be held in CCHS’s Ward School No. 2, located at 45 Rexford Street in Norwich. In the case of inclement weather, the workshop will be held on January 11.

CCHS programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
