The New Berlin Library received a grant through the Walmart Community Grant Program, Walmart Store 2262 in Oneonta New York. This grant was written for improvements to the library's Community Room.
The grant was used to purchase a a new 55” Smart TV and TV stand. The library director, Michelle Priola, stated that “the TV in the community room is used for presentations, programs, and training purposes. It is also available for public use. Our old TV was over 10 years old. The sound was starting to go and the screen had green lines through it. We are very thankful to the Walmart Community Grant Program and the Oneonta Walmart store. Their help allows our library to better serve the community.”
The community room is available for public use. To reserve the community room, make a reservation through the New Berlin Library circulation desk at 607.847.8564.
The Chenango County Cooperative Extension/4-H After school Programs takes place from 3:30-4:30 on the third Wednesday of the month in the New Berlin Library Community Room. The next scheduled program is January 18.
Some great new additions to the library include: What is the Supreme Court? By Jill Abramson, What was the Boston Tea Party? by Kathleen Krull, Who Was Paul Revere? by Roberta Edwards, and by Shin Godzilla DVD
