GIRLS BASKETBALL: BG hangs on vs Delhi

DELHI – In the final regular season game of the 2022-2023 season, the Bainbridge-Guilford Lady Bobcats defeated Delhi 48-39 on Wednesday. They had fallen to the Bulldogs prior in the season, but hung on to the short margin win when it mattered most.
B-G held Delhi to 14 points in the first half to take a small 22-14 lead at halftime. Both teams played a good second half, but it was B-G’s advantage early on that set them up with the victory in the end.
Leading the Bobcats was Celeste Baldwin with 21 points with two three’s and she went five-for-eight at the free-throw line. Behind her was Jordyn Parsons with 12 points.
B-G finishes the regular season 12-8 and currently awaits a sectionals game.
