BAINBRIDGE — If you love traditional bluegrass, gospel, and old country, don’t miss the Cedar Ridge Bluegrass Band when they perform at the Bainbridge Town Hall Theatre, located at 15 North Main Street in Bainbridge, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 22.
Cedar Ridge, based in Clifton Park, New York has been playing together for 30 years and is still going strong. They play bluegrass festivals during the summer months, play for nursing homes, the Adirondack Bluegrass League, as well as other events and venues.
Members of the band include Ken Meyer, one of the founding members, who plays a great rhythm and lead guitar, and sings lead and harmony; Al Queen, one of the area's finest banjo players and another longtime member, who also sings lead and harmony; Tom Benson, who plays the mandolin, and sings lead and harmony; and Butch Ryan, an original member, who plays the doghouse bass and sings lead and harmony.
This is a great group, keeping it together and having a great time.
Tonight in the gallery the works of Rachel Hares and Mark Picone are featured. The art gallery is open at 6 p.m. before the show through intermission, and is free to the public. The artists are available to greet you and discuss their work.
Tickets for the show are available at the door, but you may reserve ahead by calling 607-288-3882. For more information on future events visit our website at JerichoArts.com.
