Norwich sixth grade AAU Team wins Liverpool Warrior Slamfest

SYRACUSE – Last weekend, the Norwich boys sixth grade AAU team, under the direction of coaches Josh Bennett and Mike Chrystie, competed in the 10th annual Liverpool Warrior Slamfest and came out as champions. The team had also won the Syracuse Select March Madness Tournament in late March.
The AAU team is made up of boys in fifth and sixth grade who all proudly attend Norwich City School District. Coach Bennett is proud of these “fantastic kids” who won all five games played in the Slamfest. Norwich has faced teams in the Utica, Rome, Syracuse, Rochester, and even Canada area in their respective sixth grade division.
Congratulations to Brevin Bennett, Cooper Chrystie, Carter Chrystie, Aiden Youngs, Luke Waters, Justin Peck, Channing Foulds, Jake Hamilton, Will Weeks, and Rocky Burke.
