Greene Tennis shuts out B-G
GREENE – Coming off a hard loss to Delhi, the Greene Trojans tennis team returned to the court on Tuesday against Bainbridge-Guilford. Greene defeated B-G for the second time this season 5-0.
In the singles, Maeric Barrows won against Garrett O’Hara in both sets by scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Shane Rideout and Alex Boel also achieved victories for the Trojans. Rideout defeated Ilias Wilson 6-1 and 6-2 while Boel was successful against Marek Rajner 6-2 and 6-3.
For the doubles, Cassie Butler and Paul Starliper had a tough two sets against Cooper Sienko and Giovanni Johnson. However, Butler and Starliper won 7-6 (7-5) and 7-6 (8-6). Billie Kinney and Hunter Becker defeated Kevin Lang and Kaitlyn Curtis 6-3 and 6-0 to complete the shutout victory.
Greene (5-3) hosts Sidney while B-G (3-5) travels to Oxford. Both matches will take place on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
