BASEBALL: B-G defeats Sidney

SIDNEY – On Saturday, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team traveled to Sidney to make up the Tournament of Diabetes consolation game. B-G earned the 7-1 victory and their second win against Sidney after a 7-5 win in the beginning of May.
After Sidney took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning, B-G scored two runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and added on with three in the sixth to secure the victory.
Connor Davy and Damon Seymour led the Bobcats offense with three hits each. Davy had an RBI triple in the sixth while Seymour hit a two-run RBI double. Nolan Hawkins also drove in two runs on a single and had two of B-G’s total 11 hits on the day.
Ethan Beames, Gavin Gifford, and Kaiden Seymour each collected a hit in the win. Beames had an RBI single in the fourth inning while teammate Tim Kinter drove in a run on a sacrifice bunt.
Kaiden Seymour pitched a complete game for the Bobcats. He allowed just one run on three hits, walked three, and struck out nine batters.
B-G finishes the 2023 regular season with a 9-8 record and awaits sectionals.
