Golf: Oxford defeats Hancock/Deposit

OXFORD- Coming off a tough loss to Sidney, the Oxford Blackhawks golf team returned home to face Hancock/Deposit. Oxford picked up their second win of the season 202-249.
Bennett Paden led all golfers with an impressive 36 on the par-34 course as Senior Jerry Hornbeck shot a 39. Caden Rifanburg continued to keep the Blackhawks going with a 40 as Sylas Emerson shot a 42. Kyle Benjamin rounded out the scoring with a 45. Blake Barrows received some playing time as Oxford's sixth golfer.
Hancock/Deposit's scores ranged from a 45 to a 55.
Oxford (2-1) hosts Afton/Harpursville on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
