Girls Soccer: OV shuts out McGraw

MCGRAW – Coming off a shutout victory against Madison, the Otselic Valley Vikings girls’ soccer team did it again as they defeated McGraw 4-0. With their offense able to move up the field and their defense holding strong, the Vikings picked up their third win of the season.
OV was led by Rachel Loomis, who scored a hat-trick (three goals) while Kimmy Miron-Blanco also added a goal. Makayla Mills and Kali Waltz were the playmakers on offense and were able to control the middle of the field and keep the ball on the Vikings’ side for the majority of the game.
Loomis, the senior, leads the team with eight goals through five games played.
OV, who ranks seventh in Section III, Class D, will host Fabius Pompey in a non-league contest this evening at 7 p.m.
