UV Volleyball picks up first win of the season

UNATEGO – After a tough start to the 2023 season, the Unadilla Valley Storm volleyball team kept their heads up, going into the match against Unatego. The young storm team remained confident and earned their first win of the 2023 season, under new head coach Sierra Schrag.
UV swept Unatego in all three sets with scores of 26-24, 25-16, and 25-13. The Storm were led by Shannon Gilbert with 19 digs while Haylie Canfield picked up 18 digs. Piper Hine finished with six aces in the win.
UV (1-5) hosts an unbeaten Walton on Thursday at 6 p.m.
