Volleyball: Oxford sweeps Unatego
OXFORD – The Oxford Blackhawks volleyball team is on a roll with four recent wins against their respective MAC league opponents, including a 3-0 victory against Unatego on Thursday night. Oxford is pushing through a strong season thus far with only one loss to unbeaten Walton.
Sophomore Kassidy Miller stepped in and finished with eight assists and two kills in the win as Brianna Fowlston finished with two digs and two aces. Emerson La Monica led the Blackhawks with four aces and two kills as Emmalee Reiss had a team-high of four kills.
Olivia Oliver, Mya-Rae Roys, and Abby Stone all finished with two kills. Stone and Reiss had two aces as well.
Oxford (5-1) travels to Unadilla Valley on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the first match-up of the season between these two teams since last year’s MAC playoffs.

Afton/Harpursville shutout Greene 4-0. Bobby Mercilliott led the Crimson Knights with two goals while Equan Patterson and Aidan Rogers added one goal and one assist each.
Sherburne-Earlville and Otselic Valley end in a 0-0 tie. Both Avery Parsons (12 saves) and Caleb Loomis (five saves) stood their ground in goal. OV had 19 shots on goal while S-E had 11.
Bainbridge-Guilford and Delhi end in a 1-1 tie. Corbin Germund scored the lone goal for the Bobcats.

Bainbridge-Guilford falls to Delhi 3-0. Kaylynn Crandall led the Bobcats with 14 assists and five aces.
