Saturday in the Park with Chobani returns with a variety of fall delights
Last week, Andreia Keller enjoyed stirring up a bowl of goodies with a little help from a friend. Join us for the third week of fun, excitement, and fall goodies as Saturday in the Park with Chobani returns from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 7th in West Park . (Submitted photo)
NORWICH — Saturday in the Park with Chobani returns from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 7, in West Park, with beautiful displays and selections from Pires Farmers Market.
Mindy Chawgo said, “We asked local businesses to join us downtown to collaborate and spread the word on how amazing our downtown is and how we are surrounded by a multitude of talent.”
Chawgo said Little Herbal Shoppe brings their amazing natural products to the park as well as former shop Ashby Ann, filling the park with her amazing scented fall candles and Walling Maple brings sweet maple everything.
“Deliciously fresh Empadas will be ready to order from Norma along with coffee and breakfast sandwiches from the Norwich Rotary,” she added.
Chawgo said they also thought it was important to include nonprofits at the park to inform the community of what we have locally.
Nonprofits are: Hospice, The Norwich Garden Club, Town and Country Garden Club, The Place, Holy Family, Mary's house, SUNY Morrisville, and the Food Co-op will be available to answer any questions and support community needs.
“The local Boy Scouts will be joining this week and make sure you stop by the Holy Family tent to get your very own Swifty's friendship bracelets,” said Chawgo.
Chawgo also hinted the following Saturday in the Park on October 14, NBT bank will hold its shred day from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. It's a free drop off event in collaboration between Chobani and NBT bank.
The Norwich B.I.D. helps organize the event and Chawgo said they can't thank everybody enough for the numbers that they've seen walk through the park and shop local.
“The support truly means everything and makes it an event that can continue to improve on.”
