Norwich “B” team advances while other levels conclude 2023 season

NORWICH – The Norwich Cyclones football program finished strong to wrap up the 2023 season. The “B” team continues to play throughout playoffs while Flag and “A” concluded their year in cross-over games. Flag finished the season undefeated with a win over Montrose while “A” suffered a tough loss to Lansing on the road.
The Norwich B team, which consists of third and fourth graders, hosted Vestal for the first round of playoffs at Ulrich Field. Norwich had a 12-7 lead at halftime before adding on to 18. Vestal took a one-point 19-18 lead with under two minutes to go in regulation. Norwich made the successful comeback with a hand-off to Teddy Parker, who was a big contributor in the 24-19 win.
The Cyclones will be hosting the next playoffs game, Saturday at 6 p.m. under the lights, but their opponent is unknown at this time.
