Volleyball: B-G defeats Harpursville/Afton

BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats volleyball team wrapped up its 2023 MAC league play with a 3-1 win over Harpursville/Afton. The Bobcats tied with Deposit/Hancock with a 6-4 league record and finished 6-6 overall.
The Hornets took the first set by a close score of 25-23 and surely put up a competitive match-up. B-G took control of the second and final fourth set in a large margin, and took the short advantage in the third set (26-24).
The Bobcats were led by Kaylynn Crandall with two kills, eight aces, 12 digs, and 12 assists while Alessandra Cafasso finished with eight aces, 11 digs, and a block. Emma Beames contributed with four kills and 12 digs while Peyton Umbra had nine kills and four aces. Elanor Sprow saw some nice action with three aces and eight digs in the win.
