NY Troopers investigate fatal crash in Bainbridge
BAINBRIDGE – On Wednesday, October 18, at approximately 7:32 p.m., the New York State Police at Sidney and EMS were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash near 1025 County Road 39, in the Town of Bainbridge. An investigation at the scene indicated that the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver identified as Naqwain J. Johnson, age 39 of Schenectady, NY, was provided medical care by Sidney EMS but did not survive. The passenger identified as Shelly Courcelle, age 38, of Schenectady, NY, was evaluated by Sidney EMS then transported to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital for further care. The investigation is on-going.
