High-powered Blue Raiders blank Oxford

Trumansburg 66, Oxford 0
OXFORD – Led by returning all-state quarterback, Chandler Wright, Trumansburg inched closer to a Section IV 8-man football playoff berth blanking Oxford (0-7) on Friday night.
The Blue Raiders’ (6-1) lone defeat this season came to unbeaten Moravia, and they are also coming off a 60-point performance the week before when it topped Greene, 60-19.
“They have a couple very good weapons,” said Oxford coach Mitch Cluff of Trumansburg. “Their quarterback (Wright) runs the option. You see it coming, but you just can’t do anything about it. They are smooth and fluent with what they do on offense.”
Oxford plays at Greene in both clubs’ regular season finale.
