Volleyball: Oxford and B-G prepare for Sectionals
CHENANGO COUNTY – The 2023 volleyball sectionals brackets have been released and will feature two local teams who have been working hard all season, the Oxford Blackhawks and the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats. Even though both teams reside in the MAC League, they are in two separate classes based on state classifications.
B-G is the sixth seed in the Section IV, Class C tournament and will face off against Spencer-Van Etten (third seed) on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Oxford is down to Class D as the third seed and will host Unatego (sixth seed) on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Oxford swept Unatego in all three sets when the two teams met in late September.
No admission will be charged at these first round games. Admission will be charged in the rounds to follow. For more information, please visit the Section IV athletics website (www.sectionivathletics.com).
Good luck Oxford and B-G.
