NORWICH — An award winning manufacturing company, US Silicon Trading, LLC, will be moving their warehouse to Norwich; bringing opportunities of growth and expansion and new job opportunities to the local area.

US Silicon Trading CEO and Co-Founder Mane Grigoryan said, “We’re thrilled to embark on this exciting journey with our new production facilities in Norwich. After extensive property searches, we believe Norwich aligns perfectly with our projects vision.”

She said their goal is not only to contribute to the town’s development but also to become a company that truly resonates with the community.

Grigoryan said, “Working closely with dedicated individuals like Salvatore Testani and Erik Scrivener, we are focused on fostering a welcoming infrastructure and prioritizing the hiring of local young professionals. Our commitment lies in not just establishing a presence but in becoming an integral part of Norwich’s growth and prosperity,”

Commerce Chenango President and CEO Sal Testani said, “This is great news for Norwich and Chenango County.”

Testani said he had been working with US Silicon Trading for about six months as the company approached Commerce Chenango through a real estate broker and inquired about the building at 120 East Main. The building is currently owned by Achieve.

He said City of Norwich Community Development Director Erik Scrivener was soon contacted to explore potential grants and aid the company through the application process to ensure the grant was submitted appropriately.

Testani said this will add additional opportunities for employment right in the heart of the city and it will also put a building back on the tax roles. He said he’s “Ecstatic” by the opportunity US Silicon presents and excited about the potential opportunities this kind of expansion will create.

“It shows that business and investors recognize Chenango County as a place where they want to grow and expand,” said Testani. “It's truly exciting.”

Scrivener said he worked with the company, reviewing different programs and they chose the Empire State Development (ESD) program which they will receive $500,000 out of the $150 million grant statewide pool. He said they are also eligible for up to $400,000 in tax credit. It will be up to the state when the funds are released.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for Norwich as they’re looking at bringing their warehousing facility to Norwich and then possibly will set up manufacturing here too,” said Scrivener.

He said he is hopeful this is just the beginning of their partnership and looks forward in developing it into something more.

Scrivener said, “It’s been a very worthwhile effort for all.”

He said the contract between Achieve and US Silicon has not been executed at this time but should be in the next few months with the possibility to break ground in the Spring of 2024. The company will be making another trip to Norwich next month and they will know more at that time.

According to US Silicon Trading, LLC website, they are a manufacturer of silicone liquids, emulsions, resins, and other solutions used in construction, paints and coatings, sealants, rubbers, foundry, industrial manufacturing, and chemical manufacturing.

For over 25 years, they have produced the highest-quality silicone products available on the market with competitive pricing and beneficial terms.

Go Global Awards (GGA) presented Unisil/US Silicon Trading, LLC with the prestigious award for Advanced Manufacturing.
