Bowling: S-E kicks off 2023 season with a win over West Canada Valley
EARLVILLE – The Sherburne-Earlville Marauders bowling team is back in action for the 2023 season. After finishing 11-2 and 9-0 in the CSC division II in 2022, S-E is looking for the same outcome this year and are already in the win column with a win over West Canada Valley. S-E defeated West Canada Valley 4-1 with a total score of 2295-2090.
After losing just two seniors last season, the Marauders had many talented bowlers return. Leland Smith led the team with an all-around high of 523, which included his highest of a 193 in the second game. Nick Jenkins finished behind him with a 514 as Evan Chesebro (436) and Colton Camenga (418) also saw some action. Riley Smith and Jackson Barker split time to contribute to the victory.
West Canada Valley’s top bowler finished with a 511.
S-E will participate in the CHS Bowling Invitational at Camden on Saturday, Dec. 2nd, starting at 10 a.m.
