Boys' Basketball: B-G drops to T-Burg
BAINBRIDGE - Coming off two impressive wins to start the 2023 season, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats boys basketball team suffered a 66-31 setback against tough non-league opponent Trumansburg. Saturday's game concluded a three-game homestand before the Bobcats hit the road for four straight games.
B-G was very limited throughout the contest with its best opportunities in the third quarter with the best 14 points. Trumansburg brought the power right out of the gates with a combined 39 points in the first 16 minutes. The Blue Raiders found confidence in three-point shooting with nine compared to B-G's two.
The Bobcats continue to be led by senior James Hogroian who had 11 points in the loss. Hogroian has had a hot start to the season, totalling 66 points after the first three games. Arien Sherman finished behind Hogroian with 10 points as Michael Lipani had five points.
B-G (2-1) heads to Whitney Point on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
