NEW BERLIN – On Saturday, December 2, hundreds of residents gathered in downtown New Berlin to celebrate the lighting of the village's Christmas tree. New Berlin Mayor Peter Lennon welcomed families along with NY Assemblyman Joseph Angelino. The event is supported by the churches of New Berlin, Preferred Mutual, Chobani, Nook Coffee, the Norwich BID, and the New Berlin police and fire departments, along with others. The Community Events Committee organized the tree lighting, which was held at Hyde Park on Main Street. The Otsego School of Dance performed “A Radio City Christmas’ and Broadway star Jeff Keller and the Village Voices sang holiday songs.
