Girls’ Basketball: BG dominant vs Tioga in Kazalski Tournament
BAINBRIDGE – After suffering a close loss against UV, the Bainbridge-Guilford Lady Bobcats appeared more comfortable in the opening round of their own Kazalski tournament. B-G celebrated a big 85-24 against Tioga in front of their home crowd to advance to the tournament championship.
B-G started out hot and never let up, holding Tioga to single-digit scoring with a combined eight points in the final 16 minutes alone. The Bobcats posted a team-high of 23 points in the third quarter.
Johnna Henderson led a dominant offense with 23 points and also had eight rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Marissa Mayo knocked down two three’s and even recorded a double-double as she finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Jayslin Henderson also had 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Chandler Benjamin finished with 10 points while everyone who stepped out on the court for the Bobcats scored at least four points.
B-G will play Maine-Endwell in the tournament championship at 6 p.m.
