Boys' Basketball: UV squeezes out win vs Harpursville

NEW BERLIN – On Friday, the Unadilla Valley Storm boys' basketball team hosted Harpursville, where they came out on top 60-50. The Storm played tough after halftime to secure the victory, even with the Hornets threatening late in the contest.
UV played consistently in the first half and held Harpursville to single-digit scoring to take a 23-13 lead at halftime. After the break, the Storm powered through with their best efforts of the night, posting 25 points. Junior Haywood Edwards led the way with nine points in the third quarter while senior Keegan Platt hit two three's.
Edwards led the Storm with 16 points as Tucker Cattanach had 11 points and went three-for-six at the free-throw line. Denzel Peter followed with 10 points and Platt finished with eight points in the win.
The Storm close out the 2023-2024 season this evening as they host Afton at 7:15 p.m. b
