NORWICH – The Norwich Cheerleading program recently held their end of season banquet, honoring both the football and basketball cheerleaders. The following cheerleaders earned awards in the respective seasons:
Linda Brown - Football Season Most Improved, Hannah Fillmore - Football Season, Most Valuable, Bria James - Basketball Season, Most Improved, and Sophie Carnachan - Basketball Season, Most Valuable.
Sophie was also the team's only Senior, ending a long cheerleading career which started as a seven year old Cyclones cheerleader. She plans on continuing her education in nursing after high school, and would like to some day be an oncology nurse. The Norwich Cheerleading program thanks Sophie for her time and dedication to the program, her school and her community!
The Norwich Cheerleading program would also like to thank the American Legion Post 189 for hosting their banquet, Nina's Pizzeria & Restaurant for catering, Connie Cardoza of CC's Cakes for our desserts, and Prosapia Marketing and In Motion Designs for our team gifts.
