Norwich Youth Wrestlers compete at NYWAY Championships

Congratulations to the Norwich Youth Wrestlers who competed at the NYWAY Championships and on a great season. Norwich had two NYWAY Champions and a fourth place finish. (Submitted Photo)

SYRACUSE – The Norwich Youth Wrestling Program competed in the NYWAY Open State Championships last weekend at the Exposition Center-NYS Fairgrounds, Syracuse, NY.  
Three wrestlers came home with NYS All-State honors.  Lucas Button took fourth place, Drew Telesky won his second NYWAY state title, and Connor Alger won his first NYWAY state title.  
Congratulations to all of the youth wrestlers for a great season.  
Drew Telesky and Connor Alger will continue their season in pursuit to compete in the MAWA Eastern National Championships held in Salisbury, MD during the first week of May.  Good luck Drew and Connor!  The coaches, wrestlers, and parents would like to thank the City of Norwich Youth Bureau for their continued support of this program.
