Tennis: Oxford drops to Delhi
OXFORD – The Oxford Blackhawks tennis team hosted its third straight match to start the 2024 season as they welcomed Delhi. Oxford fell 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
Sam Hendricks picked up three points in the 6-2 and 6-1 loss to Tabor Reed while Jerry Hornbeck fell to Risdon Reed 6-0 and 6-2. Delhi picked up a forfeit for the third singles.
Jocie Finch and Taegan Manwarren dropped to Tyler Abts and Ryan Burrows in two 6-0 sets. Nora Thorne and Addison Hinman had a great first set against Levi Shepherd and Asa Moxley with a close 6-4 loss, but fell 6-0 in the final set.
Oxford (1-2) hosts local Bainbridge-Guilford on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
