Norwich Tennis defeats Windsor
NORWICH – On Tuesday afternoon, the Norwich Purple Tornado tennis team hosted STAC league opponent Windsor. Norwich shutout the Black Knights with a 7-0 victory, which was their third win of the season to improve to a 3-2 record.
Anthony Pomares took the first singles win with scores of 6-0 and 6-1 over Derrick Chen. Kris Deuel followed with a 6-0, 6-2 victory against Alexander Chen while Liam Hunter shutout Kadan Chapman in both 6-0 sets for the final singles.
Matthew Hall and Jason Liam took down Jason Dunkailo and Sabian Honnick in two 6-2 sets as Phin Rivenburg and Jacob Lobdell defeated Thomas Donohue and Kooper Hunter by scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
Norwich (3-2) heads to Oneonta on Friday at 5 p.m.
