Greene baseball falls to Walton/Downsville

GREENE – The Greene Trojans baseball team took on Walton/Downsville in a MAC consolation game. Greene, as the sixth seed, hosted their eighth seeded opponent, who Greene had defeated 4-1 a week ago. However, Walton/Downsville picked up the 11-2 victory this time around.

The Trojans got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning and plated their final run in the bottom of the fifth. Greene was also held to three hits with hits from Eli Eggleston, senior Ryan Milk, and Parker Flanagan. Otherwise, the offense reached base on six walks, a hit by pitch, and by error. Parker Flanagan scored on an error during Lincoln Young’s at-bat. Youngs scored on a passed ball on a dropped third strike.
