B-G baseball goes even on the weekend

CHENANGO COUNTY -–The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team was fired up and ready to play two games on Saturday. First, they hosted Sidney, coming away with a big 14-4 win before going over to Conklin to take on Sus Valley in a close 3-2 deficit. Taking on two tough Sabers teams was hard work for the Bobcats, who are getting themselves ready for sectionals.

Damon Seymour was the star player for the Bobcats against Sidney. Taking after teammate Connor Davy, Seymour drilled two home runs and collected five RBIs in the win. Davy himself went 4-for-4 with two doubles and drove in four runs. Kaiden Seymour and Brayden Swartwout also drove in one run each, along with strong outings on the mound.

Kaiden went four and two-thirds, allowing four earned runs on eight hits, one walk, and struck out four batters. Swartwout pitched one and a third inning in relief, only allowing one hit and one walk and struck out two batters.
