S-E softball honors seniors; becomes co-champs of the CSC division

SHERBURNE – It’s been an exciting season for the Sherburne-Earlville softball team, who wrapped up the 2024 regular season over the weekend. On Friday, they hosted Little Falls for senior night, honoring Haleigh Fisher, Chesnee Miller, Tatum Costantini, Batya Mizrahi, Emilee Bennett, and Savanna Born. On Saturday, S-E resumed its tied game with Adirondack. Both games ended up in victories for S-E, who earned co-champions in the CSC Division I.

In Friday’s win over Little Falls for the final regular season home game, S-E won 12-2. S-E scored 12 runs on four hits with hits from Kadyn Babcock, who had a two-run single, Costantini, Chesnee Miller, and Jeanine Chamberlain. Fisher also drove in a run. S-E also scored on errors and passed balls.

Fisher allowed two unearned runs in the second inning off an error and passed ball, but that was all. Otherwise, she had a no-hitter, did not walk any batters, and struck out 19 in the win.
