Norwich track defeats Sus Valley

CONKLIN - The Norwich Purple Tornado track and field team picked up the victory against Sus Valley to close out the regular season dual meets and will now prepare for sectionals. The Norwich boys' won 74-58 while the girls' earned the 72-34 victory.
Boys:
The Norwich boys' were led by solid performances from Connor Marshall, Caden Sutton, Lucas Craddock and company. Marshall participated in four events, where he won the 110 meter hurdles with a new personal best time of 18.80 seconds. He also took third in the 400 meter hurdles with Gabe Decker in second (58.50). Marshall finished third both the high jump with a jump of five feet and came in third in the shot put with a throw of 25-4.75.
Lucas Craddock won all three jumps, including a top jump of 44 feet, nine and a half inches in the triple jump. Kaiden Vidler took second in the long jump with a new best jump of 17-5.75.
Caden Sutton won all three of his events with a first place finish in the 800 meters, the 1600 meters, and in the 3200 meter run. Nic Sutton took third in both the 1600 meter run and in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:02.40. Pat Mulwane finished second in the 3200 meter run with a time of 14:29.20 as Orren Doolittle followed with a time of 16:50.70.
