MARCELLUS – After winning the CSC division I, the Sherburne-Earlville softball team received the 10th seed in the Section III, Class B tournament. Being such a high seed meant they had to play on the road instead of their beloved home field. S-E got past the first round with a 6-0 shutout win against Onondaga-LaFayette, but had to face a tough two-seed Marcellus next. S-E fell 9-0 to the Mustangs, which ended an outstanding season. S-E finished with a strong 13-2 record and made a lot of great memories for its seniors and entire team as softball had returned to S-E this year. Many memorable milestones for senior Haleigh Fisher over her high school career with achieving 500 strikeouts this year and throwing no-hitters to pump up the S-E offense and win games.

This time against Marcellus, S-E was very limited and were held to just one hit throughout the game. The lone hit was from Emily Lawrence to lead-off the top of the seventh inning to break up a no-hitter. Reagan Krueger and Jeanine Chamberlain reached base on walks.
