Local track teams compete in opening day of State Qualifiers
UNION-ENDICOTT – All Chenango County teams were in full strength for the 2024 track and field state qualifiers. Day one of a two-day event kicked off on Wednesday and will wrap up this evening at Union-Endicott High School. There were about half of the events scored on Wednesday, where the local athletes strived to finish among the top 24 athletes who qualified. The remaining events will be held this afternoon and finish this evening to determine who advances to the State meet on June 7 and 8 if they haven’t already met the standards throughout the regular season.
