PONY League Baseball: UV drops to Schenevus
SCHENEVUS – On Thursday night, the Unadilla Valley PONY League team traveled to Schenevus to face the Dragons for the second time this summer. Schenevus won the first meeting 17-7 in early July and swept the series with a 12-0 shutout victory.
UV was held hitless through all five innings, but did have base runners. While Schenevus played a clean game with no errors, UV drew three walks with Nick Crandall, Reed Osborne, and Urijah Drake all reaching base with one walk each.
Zayne Dibbell and Declan Potter split time on the mound and combined with seven strikeouts in the loss. Dibbell struck out five batters through two innings and Potter had two strikeouts through his two innings.
UV (3-5) hosts Cooperstown on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
