UV golf returns, falls to Delhi in first match

SHERBURNE – After not being able to field a team for the past few seasons, the Unadilla Valley golf team returns with 11 golfers strong for the 2024 season. The UV golf team will also be using Sherburne’s Mountain Top Golf Course for their home matches and is grateful to the course’s owners and staff for accepting them. UV teed off on Mountain Top on Tuesday for their home opener against Delhi.

UV, who is very new and young this year, fell 242-340, but appreciated getting back out on the course.

Nolan Lewis, who was the only one with coach Kevin Nial when UV last had a team in 2021, led the team with a 54. Declan Potter followed with a 64 as Nick Church shot a 68. Uriah Drake and Asher Harrington both finished with a 77 as Hunter Winton had a 99.
