Norwich girls swim in the Wolverine Invitational

WAVERLY – Coming off their first dual meet of the season with a win over Greene, the Norwich girls’ swim team swam in the Wolverine Invitational held at Waverly High School over the weekend. Norwich brought six swimmers to the meet with Meghan Funk, Mikayla Sastri, Kaelyn Conant, Brynn Meeks, Raeley Patterson, and Jillian Petrie representing the Purple Tornado.
Norwich came in eighth place in the meet and in the 200 medley relay as a team while Sastri and Funk led Norwich with two top 10 finishes. Sastri came in ninth place in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 28.21 seconds as Funk swam to a ninth place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:27.67.
Funk also finished 10th in the 100 yard butterfly (1:23.49).
