NORWICH – The Norwich Purple Tornado boys’ soccer team played in just their second game back as a varsity program on Monday against Chenango Valley. It was also Norwich’s home opener, where they got to play on the turf field after construction wrapped up last week.

Norwich fell 8-1 in the STAC non-divisional contest where junior Liam Ballin scored the lone goal.
