S-E boys unable to make full comeback vs Canastota

SHERBURNE – Coming off hosting their annual kickoff tournament, the Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys’ soccer team played in their first regular season scheduled game against an unbeaten and tough Canastota team. S-E battled back from a 5-1 deficit to fall just short 5-4. The Timberwolves are showing early on with its more experienced team that they are in the game together.

S-E’s Will Leinbach scored his second goal of the season in the second half as well as goals by Parker Goedel and James O’Connor within those final 40 minutes of regulation. Aiden Shreve scored his goal in the first half as S-E was down 3-1 at halftime. Chadwick Nower also picked up an assist while goalkeeper JJ Fischer made five saves.
