Field Hockey: Greene defeats Moravia in overtime

MORAVIA –  Coming off a win over Spencer Van Etten/Candor for senior night, the Greene Trojans field hockey team traveled to Moravia on Thursday afternoon. It was an exciting battle that went into overtime, with the Trojans coming out on top 3-2.
After being down 1-0 at halftime, Greene tied the game with a goal by Abby Yahner off an assist by Ahraya Whitt. Greene scored again about 10 minutes later as Josie Dutcher scored off an assist by Brooke Williams. Moravia tied the game early in the fourth quarter, which sent the game into overtime.
Josie Dutcher sent Greene home with the victory with her fourth goal of the season. Goalies Braelyn Blakeslee and Mya Leggett-Carlin combined with four saves in the win.
Greene (3-3) hosts Holland Patent on Saturday at 12:45 p.m.
