Greene Girls Tournament: B-G comes up with big win over Greene, will play Sidney in title game

GREENE – The Greene girls’ soccer tournament was underway on Thursday afternoon and featured Sidney, Newark Valley, Bainbridge-Guilford, and hosting Greene. The opening round also determined Saturday’s consolation and championship games. Both B-G and Sidney picked up shutout victories to play each other a third time this season in the tournament title game. B-G came away with a 3-0 win at home against the Sabers on Tuesday.

Thursday’s Games:

Sidney 2 - Newark Valley 0

Nayla Miley and Chloie Taylor score Sidney’s two goals as Miley had one assist and Alex Neubert also added an assist. Goalkeeper Paige Duchnowski made six saves in the win.
