OXFORD – The Oxford Blackhawks football team welcomed Section III’s APW to Oxford high school on Friday night for their home opener. Coming off two hard losses to start the season, Oxford saw improvements, despite a 40-6 loss.
“We live on film,” Oxford head coach Trenton Lyons said prior to the game. “We knew going in that APW was a run heavy team and we were making sure we overloaded the back to bring pressure all night.”
Lyons added that the team focused on making adjustments to the line.
