NORWICH – After a hard fought match against Maine-Endwell, the Norwich Purple Tornado golf team regrouped and hosted Seton Catholic. Norwich came away with a tight 202-209 victory. Coach Branham said that the 209 is the lowest score by a visiting team in years, but glad his team pulled through with outstanding golfing all-around.

Norwich’s Brevin Bennett led all golfers with a 35, which was even on the par-35 old nine course. Michael Brunick followed with a 40 as brother Matthew Brunick finished with a 41. Gavin Burrell and Julien Smith both shot a 43 as Jacob Dowdall had a 44.

Seton’s scores ranged from a low 39 to a high 45. Norwich’s 35 and 40 scores sealed the close victory.
