Boys Soccer: Greene sneaks by Oxford

OXFORD – It was a battle to the finish between the Oxford Blackhawks and the Greene Trojans boys’ soccer teams that have been playing competitively within the MAC league. Oxford, who held the lead in the MAC, dropped their first league game of the season in a 1-0 loss to their fiery neighbors. Greene is still undefeated at 4-0 in the league and improved to 8-3 overall.

The lone goal of the game was scored by Greene’s Jack Rice off an assist from Kloden Rapp.

Oxford may have outshot Greene 12-8, but Jackson Roth stood his ground in goal for the Trojans, making 10 saves in the back-and-forth affair.
