Field Hockey: Greene tops Marathon late in the fourth quarter

GREENE – Following the boys’ soccer semi-finals game, the Greene Trojans field hockey team took the turf against Marathon. Greene had a 1-0 lead at halftime and held on to it until Marathon tied the game late in the third quarter. The Trojans fought hard and came away with a late goal in the fourth quarter to win 2-1.

After a scoreless first quarter and almost a scoreless first half of play, Greene’s Nadia Brown scored with a minute left in the second quarter. Greene held a 1-0 lead until Marathon tied it up with three minutes left in the third quarter.
