GREENE – The Greene Trojans boys soccer team has been having a solid 2024 season, even as a more youthful program. Besides finishing third in the MAC league behind Oxford and Delhi, they’ve shown strength and improvement throughout the season. Unity and strength only helped them get by Unatego/Franklin, a team that they tied with in regular season play, 3-1 in the first round of the Section IV, Class C tournament.
Greene took a 1-0 lead at halftime from an early goal scored by Judd Dutcher off a pass from Jacob Acevedo, which only proves the youth continues to step it up for the Trojans. Kloden Rapp and Laken Loveless also scored the final two goals for Greene while the defense and goalkeeper Jackson Roth held Unatego/Franklin to one goal.
Greene heads to Seton Catholic on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
