Greene Girls swim earns win vs WP

GREENE – After hosting senior night on Tuesday, honoring Alexis Clark, Savannah Nowalk, and Keeli Roe, the Greene Trojans girls swim team hosted Whitney Point on Thursday. Greene achieved their first win of the season with a 59-20 victory. Keeli Roe led the Trojans with a season-best time in the 200 freestyle and a personal best time in the 100 breaststroke.
As a team, Louise Mendolia, Corrine Dicenzo, Alexis Clark, and Savannah Nowalk won both the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relays before doing well in their individual events. Roe took second in the 200 yard freestyle with her season-best time of 3:05.62, behind Whitney Point’s 2:48.94. Roe also won the breaststroke with a personal best time of 1:42.78.
Corrine Dicenzo was the lone swimmer in the 100 yard backstroke, where she swam a time of 1:56.35. She also took fourth in the 50 yard freestyle (45.82 seconds). Savannah Nowalk earned the top spot with the fastest time of 32.66 seconds in the same event while Alexis Clark came in third place (35.73 seconds).
