Oxford girls conclude memorable season in loss to Trumansburg

TRUMANSBURG – The Oxford Blackhawks girls’ soccer team took the long haul to Trumansburg on Tuesday afternoon, where they suffered a bittersweet 2-0 loss, which ended the 2024 season.

The Lady Blackhawks have a lot to remember about this season, especially finishing second in the S-E soccer tournament, winning their home tournament, and finishing second in the MAC league after losing to Unatego in the Championship game. Oxford finished the 2024 season with a 12-5 record.

Taegan Manwarren led the Blackhawks with 13 goals and 10 assists in her final soccer season. Kayla Knapp followed with 12 goals as Colette Kappauf scored eight goals. Paige Rickard contributed with eight assists, behind Manwarren, Ahna Kappauf had three assists, and Christine Seiler finished with two assists.
