S-E Boys Tip-off Tournament: S-E finishes second; UV falls to fourth

SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys basketball team hosted the annual tip-off tournament,featuring local Unadilla Valley, Vernon-Verona Sherrill, and Cazenovia. Cazenovia won the tournament by taking down both VVS and S-E.

Unadilla Valley fell to VVS in the consolation game. Congratulations to the Sherburne-Earlville JV team on winning the tournament championship game.

The S-E Varsity tournament all-stars were UV's Haywood Edwards, VVS' Degaragen Paradis, S-E's Brayden O'Hara and Nick Hull, Cazenovia's Edmond Richardson, and MVP Ben Bianco.

It was a defensive battle for both teams, who were tied at 45 apiece to start the fourth quarter. S-E, who took an early lead in the first quarter and led by four at halftime, ignited in the final eight minutes and built a 10-point lead to secure the victory.
